God is Able

God is Able

He is able to do what we ASK.
He is able to do ALL that we ask.
He is able to do ABOVE all that we ask.
He is able to do above all that we ask or THINK.
He is able to do ABUNDANTLY above all that we ask or think.

Ephesians 3:20

“He is able to do EXCEEDINGLY abundantly above all that we ask or think.”

Then why do so few people experience this wealth of answered prayer?

How many of us find God even doing what we ask, let alone EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY?

POWER could just as accurately be interpreted ABILITY   Matthew 25:15

Therefore:

God’s ability is linked to the exercise of our ability.

The measure of answered prayer is according to the ability at work in you.

According To:
(in proportion to)

Determines the limits of the Divine ability ordinarily operating on your behalf.

There are some things only God can do, and there are some things only you can do.

The Ability at Work Within Us

The Power to Choose

Above all other elements of creation, man has been gifted with both the power and the right of choice.

  • Deuteronomy 30:19
  • Joshua 24:15

God is Able

Make your choice!

God is Able

Make THAT your choice!

The Power to Hold to Your Choice

Many people decide to believe God’s promise, but then the answer is delayed or they receive opposition.

Then they waiver, turn aside and change their minds.

  • James 1:6-8

Thousands of people cheat themselves out of a miracle because after having chosen to believe and pray, they do not stick with the choice until the miracle comes.

The Power of a Correct Confession

No man’s prayer or faith can rise above his level of confession.

No man’s credible confession will rise above his knowledge of God’s promises.

The exercise of this power of confession will, ordinarily, determine the extent to which God will answer prayer.

  • If you confess things contrary to God’s will—
  • If you express doubt about his promises—
  • If you complain about his ways—

You may make it impossible for your prayer to be heard.

And if you listen to this kind of confession you can kill your faith.

Proverbs 12:18 There is he that speaketh like the piercing of a sword. . .

The High Priest of Your Confession Hebrews 3:1

This means Christ will act as your Apostle  only as you make a right confession of your faith.

The things you say and the way you say them are the keys to this ministry of Christ.

Speak Out Your Faith in God’s Power

Most have faith in the power of God.

They have no doubt that God can do whatever he chooses.

But—

When the matter comes down to their own personal need, their faith begins to falter.

They doubt whether God can really do anything!

Therefore—

The problem is not a lack of faith in the power of God in a general sense, but in a personal sense.

The Question—

then, is not whether God can do anything, but whether he can do this thing that you need.

It is not a matter of whether all things are possible to God, but whether it is possible for god to meet this particular need of mine.

Romans 4:21

And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

He chose to believe

He held to his confession

He confessed correctly
