Two Types of Love

The law of liberty in Christ gives us a new type of love, quite different from the law of Moses.

  • Moses’ law demanded love (Leviticus 19:18; Deuteronomy 6:5); Christ’s law is love (Romans 5:5; 1 John 4:7, 19-20).

Joseph’s Exaltation

Joseph Demonstrates Forgiveness

Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work. Proverbs 24:29  

  • Joseph did not punish the butler for leaving him in prison for and additional two years.
  • Joseph did not have Potiphar’s wife jailed or executed.
  • Joseph did not have Potiphar jailed or executed.
