The bottomless pit is not eternal hell.
THE KEY
In Revelation 9:1 Satan had the key to the bottomless pit; now one of God's angels has it.
1. Doubtless, the Angel is Michael, and he acquired the key during the War in Heaven
(Revelation 12:7-10).
V. 2
Satan is `shut up', and a seal is set upon the pit!
WHAT DOES SCRIPTURE SAY ABOUT THE 1,000 YEARS?
PEACEFUL
Isaiah 2:3-4 And many people shall
go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in
his paths: for out
of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall
judge among the
nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares,
and their spears
into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn
war any more.
JOYFUL
Isaiah 9:2-4 The people that
walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the
shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not
increased the
joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they
divide the spoil.
For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his
oppressor, as in
the day of Midian.
HOLINESS & PERFECTION
Isaiah 61:9-11 And their seed
shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people:
all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath
blessed. I will
greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me
with the garments
of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh
himself with
ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. For as the earth bringeth
forth her bud, and
as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will
cause
righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
JUSTICE
Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant,
whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my
spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a
righteous Branch, and
a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
PROSPEROUS & PRODUCTIVE
Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb
shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and
dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain,
saith the LORD.
Zechariah 10:1 Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall
make bright
clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
PERFECT HEALTH
Isaiah 35:3-6 Strengthen ye the
weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful
heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a
recompense; he will
come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf
shall be unstopped.
Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the
wilderness shall waters
break out, and streams in the desert.
Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with
healing in his wings; and
ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
V. 7-9
Why, after 1,000 years of peace and perfection, will men turn from Christ to follow Satan?
QUOTE, LEHMAN STRAUSS:
Even after 1,000 years of a righteous and peaceful reign, Satan, by his deception, is able
to discredit
God's dealings and, thereby, lead the nation astray in a revolt against God. If one
wonders where these
masses of people come from, he need only be reminded that the millennium will be the time
of earth's
greatest population explosion. It has been argued by some that good parentage and good
environment
produce good children, and that poor parentage and poor environment produce bad children;
the
conclusion being that a good society will produce a generation free of strife, immorality,
and poverty. But
this argument is disproved at the close of the millennium. Evil nature, whether confined
in a prison or
subject to righteous rule, does not change. The leopard cannot change his spots.
Romans 8:7-8 The carnal mind is
enmity against God: For it is not subject to the law of God, neither can
it be so then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Satan is #3 into eternal hell!
The satanic trio is joined, and the godhead of hell is complete.
V. 11-14
The Great White Throne Judgment.
1. White = righteousness.
Daniel 7:9-10 I beheld till the
thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment
was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the
fiery flame, and
his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand
thousands
ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment
was set, and
the books were opened.
V. 15
Though the atheists and apostates who have departed from the fundamentals of faith to
accept what they call
`higher criticism' scoff at the idea, God says that Hell and the Lake of Fire are real.
Dr. C.T. Schwarze, of New York University, published a scientific dissertation on this
same subject. It is quoted by
Dr. J.D. Pentecost on pages 559-562 of his book, THINGS TO COME:
The word lake must connote a body of matter having liquid form. Therefore, if scripture is
truth, this
eternal fire must be in liquid form. . . .The very simple proof of the portions of
scripture we have been
discussing lies in the existence of the singular phenomena of the skies known as midget or
white dwarf
stars! . . .a midget star is one which, because of some things which have happened to it
(not quite clear
at this time), should be roughly 5,000 or more times as big as it really is! Applying this
idea for illustration
to such a planet as earth, you must conceive the earth as having shrunk to such an extent
that its
diameter would be about 400 miles. . .instead of being 8,000 miles in diameter as it
really is. This
enormous density . . .has a great deal to do with our subject. . . .Most people know the
sun, our nearest
star is rather hot. . .there is general agreement that the temperature at or near the
center of stars is
between 25 million and 30 million degrees Fahrenheit! . . .at such temperatures, much can
happen, like
the bursting of atoms, which helps to explain the phenomenon of the white dwarf. . . .a
temperature of
30,000,000° Fahrenheit could explode atoms. It would cause the atoms to lose their
electrons even
though the attraction between the nucleus and electrons is an octillion times the
attraction of gravity.
The separated parts could then be better packed in, particularly under such great
pressure. . . .With the
constant activity of X-rays, atom walls could not be reformed; therefore enormous
densities, such as are
found in the midgets, can be attained. Now, please note, at such high temperatures all
matter would be
in the form of gas. . .in a white dwarf the pressure is so great that gasses become
compressed to the
consistency of a liquid although they may still respond to the characteristics of a gas.
Before such a star
could cool off and gradually become dark it would have to expand to normal proportions.
That is, it
would have to get to be more than 5,000 times its present size. Here is the difficulty.
Such expansion
would cause enormous heat which, in turn, would absolutely keep the star compressed, so
that, insofar
as astronomers and physicists know, the midget stars can never cool off! . . The white
dwarf, to all
intents, can never burn out. May I summarize to show that the Bible, God's word, is
scientifically
accurate? We find, first, an eternal fire which cannot burn out. Being of a liquid
consistency it is,
secondly, a lake of fire. In the third place, it cannot be quenched, for any quenching
material, such as
water, would immediately have its atoms stripped of electrons and be packed in with the
rest. In the
fourth place, since astronomers have been, and still are, studying this strange
phenomenon, it is only too
evident that the lake of fire has been prepared and is now ready.
Revelation 20:15, And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into
the lake of fire.
As Dr. Schwarze proves, once a person was consigned to the lake of fire, the atomic
structure of his body would
correspond to that of the lake of fire itself, and it would be scientifically impossible
for him to ever cool off or to
escape from the confines of his fiery imprisonment.
