Compare with 3:12; 7:3; 22:4. These Israelites have not been harmed by man. V. 4 First fruits from among men with no mention of a resurrection is indicative of a rapture event. 1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. V. 6 If this is a literal angelic spirit being, it will be the first time an angel was allowed to preach the gospel. V. 8 This is an anticipated message, since the new Babylon is now thriving. V. 9 This warning is given before anyone receives the mark of the beast. V. 15-16 These are not martyrs! Martyrs are killed by antichrist; this death is called down by Jesus, and is specifically about Armageddon. These scriptures fulfill Joel 3:12-16 Zechariah 13:8-9 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. Joel 3:12-16 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. More said in chapter 18. V. 19 This verse fulfills Matthew 13:36-43 Matthew 13:36-43 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. V. 20 Outside Jerusalem in the valley of Meggido stretching for 200 miles, the blood will be 5-6 feet deep. |
